One of the most common questions, in terms of leather clothing and accessories, is certainly that relating to the treatment of stains and protection from external agents.
After all, we know that especially in the winter season, the weather undergoes rapid changes, often incalculable, and it is not uncommon to find ourselves under a sudden downpour with our clutch bag in hand for the first time.
Do not panic, however: although it is advisable not to expose the skin to large showers of water, it must also be said that the modern treatments, the processes that this delicate and precious fabric undergoes, today make it more resistant and waterproof than in the past.
And what happens to the spots instead? What happens if a cup of coffee, a drop of wine, a touch of lipstick, inadvertently stain our favorite backpack?
Well, first of all, we can advise you not to improvise do-it-yourself remedies, not very certified, but to contact - especially for important stains - leather washing and stain removal specialists.
However, something can be done to stem the damage.
Did you know, for example, that cow's milk, just what we keep in the refrigerator, is a very powerful aid in removing stains on leather fabrics?
Thanks to its cleansing properties, milk gives new life to our handbag, eliminating halos and the unpleasant “aged” effect.
Egg white is also an extremely effective natural stain remover.
If with a dry cotton cloth - do not use water, I recommend - you pass some milk, even detergent, or an egg white on the stain in question, you may already have solved the problem.
Do not dry never stain them with a hairdryer, often a common mistake, rather steam the leather by heating water with a saucepan: the steam softens the fabric and helps the subsequent removal of the stain.
Keep in mind that there are numerous specific products and sprays for leather and hides on the market, some of them truly marvelous.
It is useful to always keep a microfiber cloth and a solution specifically for leather fabrics in case so as not to be taken aback by unpleasant inconveniences.
Leather, it cannot be denied, is a very delicate fabric that requires some precautions.
Just adopt the appropriate solutions and not risk methods rash - thinking about putting the bag under a jet of cold water as you might do with other fabrics.
